John Squires - Chesterfield Bridge Club, England

We are a small club which was previously in crisis, (falling membership/disputes etc)
We speculated and purchased 8 BridgePad units...we could never revert to travellers now...the members love it
They are superior to the older BridgeMates - sleeker, more ergonomic design, much better display visibility and tough construction
With a modicum of practice, the system is easy to operate, for both the players, and the TD
The error-count is virtually zero which has saved us hours of work checking and correcting scores
I have tried various 'failure scenarios' and successfully recovered - the chances of losing the results are almost infinitesimal
The scrolling results screen - a self-updating 'leader board' has introduced a new dimension to our sessions - spellbinding
(John's club is now attracting more players and he recently ordered another 2 BridgePads)

Andrew Worth - South Croydon Bridge Club, England

As early adopters, we have seen improvements such as feedback that correct player numbers have been entered and easy correction of score entry mistakes
Reliability has been very good, with no major breakdowns
(a BridgePad's batteries expired but it was quickly substituted and we continued uninterrupted)
The Scrolling Results display adds interest for the players
Transcription errors have been eliminated and shortly after the end of a session we can announce accurate results and post them to the web site

David Gilling - Leighton Buzzard Bridge Club, Engalnd

Introducing BridgePads has been a key part of our club Modernisation programme
Modernisation has reversed falling attendances and increased out membership by 15%
The more we use BridgePads, the more we know we made the right decision
Scrolling Results Display - even the original sceptics now want to watch how they are doing

Francis Seed - Duns Bridge Club, Scotland

Club members have all taken to BridgePads very quickly
- especially the help on what boards and which pairs should be at their table
Getting the right score has helped both the Players and the club scorer no end
Everyone here is delighted with the BridgePads
Thanks to you for helping me through the initial period

Richard Lighfoot and Margaret Wood - Javea Bridge Club, Spain

Thanks to excellent and continuing support from ScoreBridge, we had the system operational within 24 hours of receipt
Our verdict is that BridgePad is vastly superior to its current rival
The first time we used the BridgePads we had a 1 hour power failure but the Pads ‘remembered’ all the scores and as soon as power was restored all was back to normal
The learning curve was not nearly as long as had been expected and even the 80 years olds don’t have a problem operating the BridgePads
The score is produced instantaneously, we no longer have to wait for 15/20 minutes for it so we now use this time to play an additional round
An unexpected side effect has been far less errors in entering scores or in playing the wrong boards
I would strongly recommend BridgePads as a great addition to the Score Bridge software

Helen Barr - Independent Director, England

BridgePads have been very successful
There is an inevitable, bad, initial reaction to the news that an electronic device is to be used, followed by admiration at how easy and fast and generally wonderful they are
For the director, they are excellent because I now spend very little time scoring so can do my TD duty much more efficiently. The only down side is that I now have time to eat lunch at my charity events, so I may put on weight!

Jim Duncker - Kirkkonummen Bridge Club, Finland

We are extremely pleased with the combined ScoreBridge / BridgePad system and have not experienced any problems with BridgePads
Of course are we using the Scrolling Results Screen !!      Great interest amongst players !!

Mirna Goacher - Chislehurst Bridge Club, England

We use BridgePads regularly now and are getting used to them
We had some problems initially with the error key, but this now works very well
There are still one or two people that are 'scared' of technology and reluctant to use them, but I am sure they'll get over it
To summarise - we love them and wouldn't be without them !

Bud Abbott - Island Bridge Club, England

The BridgePads are used and enjoyed in all our sessions (3 times per week)
The players particularly like the scrolling results display
Overall we are very pleased with them

Jens Ole Jespersen - Canary Islands

The BridgePads are well received and the players find it very easy to use
I am also in a learning process as there is a lot of features which you discover when you are using the BridgePads

Cad Delworth - Carlton Bridge Club, Edinburgh, Scotland

After a trial and much discussion, the Carlton opted for BridgePads over its rival
Installation was a piece of cake, Upgrades are also a doddle, and support from both Stephen Bligh and the US makers is second to none
Our members have no problems with BridgePads, and any miskeyed results or other problems are easily corrected by the TD with a few simple keystrokes at the table
Our TDs especially love the half-hour or so of time the BridgePads saves them at the end of a tournament!
We would definitely recommend BridgePads to any Club considering a wireless scoring system

Bob Denton - Javea School of Bridge, Spain

The introduction of BridgePads has permitted our Club to live up to its name, the Javea School of Bridge and Social Club
The detailed results provided for our website allow students and improvers in our School to learn and refine their play
The speed with which the system provides the result makes tournaments more sociable, particularly for the scorers!
With good preparation we found that within three tournaments most of our members were able to use the system with some confidence, - of the ten issues, all were bridge-playing ones!

Liz Kelly - Douglas, Isle of Man, England

Bridgepads are a very good labour saving device, it is so nice to have the results immediately the last board has been played
It is also interesting to watch the results come in throughout the night and see the leader board change
With very little computer knowledge they can easily be set up and are easy to operate
The only complaints are from older members with arthritic fingers and poor eyesight but even they enjoy going out and peeping at the leader board

Bart Van Oyen - Kenmare, Ireland

BridgePads are small and work well. Easy to handle even for people who never used an automatic system before
It has all the possible traveller lay-outs a club might like to use
The system is easy to run for a TD. It signals the scoring queries and often we only need 5 minutes after a bridge night to get the results out
Rankings, handicaps and webpage are easy to set up

Georg Linder - Myntans, Sweden

Myntans Bridge Club has used BridgePads for a year and it works well
The only difficulty has been to get more people to be able to manage the system
We now use it when we play barometer competitions. We can do this without a Director which previously we paid for, so now we are saving money!
