Advantages over using paper travellers and name slips
- One BridgePad is placed on each table to use instead of paper travellers
Contracts and tricks made are keyed into the BridgePad and these immediately update all scores in the computer
- Players identify themselves at the start - saving computer entry of names
- After scoring a board the BridgePad shows an estimate of your board % and results so far
These results are just like a paper traveller. There is an option to show frequencies instead
- Optionally, an Interim Ranking and Percentage (including across sections !!) can be displayed throughout the event
These can be on a Computer Screen or Projected onto a screen or wall
- see example of screen for 2 concurrent independent events (watch out for the Warning message in Internet Explorer)
- At the end of play, the Final Ranking and Percentages are shown the same way
- For each round, the BridgePad shows pair numbers with orientation and boards to be played - helping avoid mis-pairings, forgetting to arrow switch etc.
- There is an option to insist that EW checks the details of the result
- You enter Tricks Made - the BridgePad calculates the score - thus avoiding mis-calculations
- ScoreBridge identifies any wide variations in results for the director to check
